Some users of Apple TV reporting wacky problems with Sony, Philips colour TV

Doesn't seem to be particularly widespread, but a substantial number of reports is cropping on the official Apple support forum of some issues pretty wild affecting the new Apple TV when coupled with some Sony and Philips TV. As you can see above, these problems may include a combination of rather unpleasant pastel (apparently common on TV Philips), while others are also reporting inverted colors and green or black screens. As for Apple, at least some users who contact the company on the issue say is aware of the problem, but early reports from those who have applied the Apple TV 2.1 update suggest that have not yet resolved the issue yet. Apple TV has hired a new shade? Let us know in the comments and control a psychedelic video issue after the break.

[Thanks, Bea]

Without notice 65 mm edge lit LED TV show with passive 3D glasses on vizio.com

From sent Richard Lawler 2010 19th nov 8: 21 PM : make plans to invite the whole neighborhood watching the BCS National Championship in 3D? For large groups, the best option might be this 65-inch 3D LCD HDTV that Theater posters on AVSForum noted today on the website of VICE, because its screen is polarized for use with passive 3D glasses like those used at most cinema. Since all costs are in the screen shot of $ 3,699, individual pairs of glasses are much less battery active shutter glasses used by other 3DTVs currently available. The specs show that this is a unit of edge lit LED 120 Hz, unlike the 480 Hz local dimming 3D sets the company has announced earlier this week, but we are waiting for an official announcement and release date before deciding if that makes a difference.
